Simone first became interested in gymnastics when she was just six. Coach Aimee Borman accompanied her to Bannon's Gymnastix, where they went on a field trip. Biles was a winner in the floor and vault at the 2011 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before getting to the highest level of competition in 2011. In less than two years, she was the most dominant athlete in the field.
