Anita Sarkeesian (Canadian-American) is a feminist media critic also a speaker who is Canadian. Feminist Frequency is a web site where you can find videos and other commentary on the representation of women in popular media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning feminist journalist from Canada and a blogger. Feminist Frequency is a site dedicated to education, which examines gender roles within the world of pop culture, is operated by Sarkeesian. Committed to deconstructing the stereotypes about women and pop culture she also works on issues related to targeted harassment against women and the other minorities of people in the online world. Sarkeesian who has a Master's in Social and Political Thought with a degree from York University, is also an extremely sought-after public presenter. She has spoken at TEDxWomen's XOXO and the United Nations Broadband Working Group to Gender. Attracted to issues related to gender identity and feminism from an early age she launched her website Feminist Frequency in 2009, while she was still at university. The site was about to launch a series of videos on the web that looked at gender roles in video games when she became the victim of online bullying. This attack didn't stop her, rather it bolstered her resolve as feminists who criticize media.
