Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, singer in playback and musician, who is most often in Tamil and Malayalam language films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. She made her debut in Tamil along with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family from Arakkonam in and Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father works as a solicitor at the Madras High Court. She is the younger cousin of an assistant researcher who lives in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah grew up near Chennai she went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea is a young girl who started with classical piano classes at the age of eight years old, was identified as a "geek" and wanted to become a psychiatric nurse until her 12th grade examination. By the age of 10, she was a part of a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the foundation of her performing and music composition career. Additionally, she worked as a stage performer during college. She also served as the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's stage career started in the role of Girishkarnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo coffee advertisement alongside the actor Shiva in the year 2006. Also, she was a part of one of the shows that was relayed on Podhigai channel. She has appeared in various shows across India. She had a small role on the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). When she sang a tune in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu He asked her to be cast the main female characters for his upcoming venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea acting as Kalyani the wife of a homemaker who gets involved in an affair, and is threatened with blackmail. Andrea got the part of Kalyani after Simran Shobana, Tabu and other actresses were asked to audition for the role. The movie was announced in the early part of the year 2010. It was first released for Venkat's Mankatha in 2011, which included a host of actors. The actress made her Malayalam film debut by playing the Annayum film of Rajeeev Ratti by Rasoolum in 2013.
