Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 in 1967) is an American performer and actress. Wuhrer first started her acting career when she was when she was in her teens. Her best-known character was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as playing the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She is the youngest of three siblings. She was a teenage singer performing in clubs, sneaking away from home for the sake of performing. From the Wooster School, at the age of thirteen She began her studies in acting. Then, at the Tisch School of the Arts located at New York University, Marymount Manhattan College at Columbia University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, with the renowned professor Uta Hagen, Wuhrer studied. Her birth date was April 28th, 1967 in Brookfield, Connecticut. Her father is German American and a dealer in cars and a police agent. Kari has 3 siblings. In her teens her nightclub performances were a highlight by slipping away to do so. Kari began studying acting when she was 13. Then she studied drama at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and Columbia University. Marymount Manhattan College, as well as at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, together with Uta Hagen, who is a well-known instructor. Kari began her journey into acting at 13, and she got her big break in 1987 when she appeared on MTV Remote Control.
